Current Plans
The Crew of Southern Belle, George, Melinda, and 8-year old Joshua,
welcome you to our website.  We will endeavor to keep the site fresh
and interesting, so check back often!  
At the time of the writing of this Journal Entry the crew of Southern Belle
are in Cartagena, Columbia.   This Journal Entry covers our journey
from Colon to the San Blas Islands.  Check out the links above for our
journal and photos.
In sailing, plans are best written in pencil, so no doubt  our plans will
change.  Nevertheless, our current plans include putting the boat in a
safe place in Cartegena then traveling through South America for two
months - Argentina, Chili, Peru, and Ecuador..  We'll then haul the
boat for a much needed bottom job.  Sometime in October we'll return
to the San Blas Islands where we will decide what to do next!

About the Photo
These type of starfish were everywhere in the San Blas Islands.  
This one is sitting on a bed of eel grass in about 18-inches of water.  
We anchored at one island in about 8 feet of water over clean sand.  
There were hundreds of these starfish decorating the bottom.  It was
like sitting in a big swimming pool with a starfish motif!
